I am in the process of transferring my WordPress blog over to Weebly. fiaanaut.com should direct to this fiaanaut.weebly.com shortly.
My web writings have not been particularly focused, and I found myself not engaged with the WordPress style. I love tech, and I am very good at pulling together design, but it is time consuming to design your website. I felt that I was not as motivated to post because I couldn't find a modular design that fit what I needed. I am not a photographer, and didn't need a portfolio site, but wanted to have modular galleries for photo and video. I don't do ecommerce, so I didn't need a store front, and neither was I interested in producing a web magazine. In short, although WordPress is probably capable of delivering what I needed, it was taking too much time to adjust. I ran into David Rusenko (Weebly's founder and CEO) a few times over the last year, but using Weebly wasn't on my radar. (Spaceflight and scuba diving were our chief conversation topics.) However, my decreasing comfort with WP spurred some quick research. I opened an account with Weebly, and 10 minutes later had a site I was entirely happy with. I won't be transferring my old posts over anytime soon, but will eventually get around to it.

I've been using Weebly to power my business site. It just works. I like things that just work.
